How Does the Tamron DCV12 Work?


How much time have you spent focusing a minidome only to find that when you replace the dome cover, the image is either soft or out of focus completely?

Let me be clear that you are not the problem - its physics.

A typical 'focal pathway' looks like this:






The image passes through the lens and is focused on the sensor to provide an accurate image.

But when you replace the dome cover, you effectively add another lens causing the focal length to change, making the image appear out of focus creating a focal path that looks like this:





Regardless of how meticulously you focus your camera, you can't fight physics - until now...

The Tamron DCV12 eliminates the physics dilemma by adding a one touch auto focus feature that will allow you to focus the camera through the dome enclosure.
