This allows you to maintain a wider field of view (FOV), while still allowing you to digitally zoom into a larger portion of the image.
With the appropriate Tamron 16mm MP lens, you could provide credible LPR out to 125 feet without sacrificing your total field of view (FOV).
This will cut down the total number of cameras needed saving you money.
