Milestone Systems - REMOTE CLIENT Demo Directions
REMOTE CLIENT is a web based thin client that uses your web browser to connect to the Milestone Systems Recording Servers.
This should be used when you do not want to install a client that will maintain residence on a remote PC.
Basically all you have to know is the following:
- HTTP Address
- Port number
- Authentication Mode
- User Name
- Password
of the Milestone Recording Server you want to connect to
Below are the instructions to connect to the
Tech/Rep Milestone LIVE Recording Server to evaluate the REMOTE CLIENT.
Step 1...

Or cut and paste the following into your web browser address: http://173.9.37.187:8093/installation/Remote%20Client/3.7a/English/en-US/main.html
You should see this screen once you have connected:
Step 2...
Type in the following information:
Address: 173.9.37.187
Port: 8093
Authentication: Windows
Username: trdemo
Password: trdemo
Click on LOGIN
You should see this screen:
Step 3...
Open the TR DEMO folder.
Click on TR DEMO CAMERAS view.
You are now on the LIVE VIEW screen using a matrix view...
If you DOUBLE CLICK on any image, you will get a full screen image of the camera selected.
DOUBLE CLICK again, and you will return to the matrix view.
NOTE: There is (1) PTZ camera. When you click on that image, you will be able to pan/tilt/zoom in the image. You will also be able to use the PRESET function located on the left.
STEP 4...
To see PLAYBACK click on the PLAYBACK tab at the top.
You should see this image:
Step 5...
You are now on the PLAYBACK VIEW screen using a matrix view...
You will see the TIME NAVIGATION tool on the left. It operates like a VCR. Basically choose the DATE and TIME parameters and use the PLAYBACK ARROWS to control the playblack.
All camera views will be synched and playback at the same time.
If you DOUBLE CLICK on any image, you will get a full screen image of the camera selected.
DOUBLE CLICK again, and you will return to the matrix view.
The PRINT and EXPORT functions are disabled in this demo mode.
To get back to LIVE VIEW, click on the LIVE tab at the top.
When you are done with your demo, click on the X to end your demo.
